What is a Qibli?

A qibli is a male SandWing dragonet and member of the Jade Winglet family. This dragon has unique markings and is loosely based on Tui T. Sutherland’s son. He was also praised by Queen Thorn because he had saved a mouse from a cat. The dragon has freckle-like markings that distinguish it from other dragons in the Jade Winglet family.

Qibli is the protagonist of Darkness of Dragons. Born in the world of Avalon, he was raised by his mother Cobra and his siblings Rattlesnake and Sirocco. He was informally adopted by Queen Thorn and later took under her wing as an Outclaw. Qibli attended the Jade Mountain Academy as a Jade Winglet and is currently in a relationship with the Moonwatcher.

Qibli is the only male SandWing dragonet in the main series. He is the second SandWing POV in the series, but is not featured in the rest of the story. Despite his uncaring and lack of observance, he shows affection for Moon. Qibli’s snout bears the scar of a SandWing dragonet. Qibli is in love with Moon. The Darkstalker once told him that he was brilliant and insecure, but he didn’t agree. It’s unclear why he feels that way, but it is implied that they are in fact timelines apart.

In the story, Qibli’s loyalty to Thorn is apparent. He serves Thorn since he was three years old. In an earlier episode, he refused to leave Thorn’s side when Sunny requested private conversations. In one episode, he tells Sunny that Thorn is his birth mother, and that he saved him from the death of his birth mother. During this time, Sunny asks him whether he is Thorn’s son.

The second book, Moon Rising, features the Dragonets of Destiny being raised at the Academy. In this arc, the Moonwatcher, a NightWing, is tasked with solving mysterious events while interacting with her new friends. Along the way, she is forced to team up with the NightWing dragon, Turtle. During the course of the book, the characters meet the dragons of the SandWing Queens.

Qibli is a smart and intelligent male SandWing. His keen sense of perception has allowed him to prevent Jade Mountain from falling under Thunder, and he has even stopped the IceWing/NightWing war before it started. In Darkness of Dragons, Qibli was an Outclaw and was bullied by his siblings. The scar on his snout was left by his siblings when he was young.

In the Jade Winglet series, Qibli is one of the members of the winglet group. She seems to care about the well-being of the Ostrich, and seems to have been friends with the creature before the academy opened. She made a promise to the Ostrich’s parents that she would protect the animal at the academy and look after its parents. However, it was not until the academy opened that Qibli learned that he is not actually a dragon.

Qibli is a member of the winglets and a main character in the series. A male SandWing, he is crafty and has a great interest in machinery and technology. He attended the Jade Mountain Academy and was a member of the Jade Winglet. He is very cute and has a crush on Moowatcher. Qibli has a narrow shoulder, a dark amber earring hanging from his ear, and a small scar on his snout.

Moonwatcher is a young female NightWing who prefers to be called “Moon.” She is the main character of the novel “Moon Rising.” She is the first female NightWing in more than a century. She has telepathic powers and possesses real prophetic power. She was raised by a secret keeper and attended Jade Mountain Academy. She is currently in a relationship with Qibli.

Qibli has been loyal to Thorn and Sunny from the beginning. He refuses to leave Thorn’s side when Sunny tries to speak to him in private. He later mentions that Thorn saved him from his birth mother. However, Thorn also tells him that he is Thorn’s son. Sunny then wonders whether he is Thorn’s son.
