As the season concludes, we learn about new Sith secrets and the long-awaited confrontation between Vader and Ahsoka Tano. But what’s the most exciting aspect of Season Two?
Characters
The Star Wars Rebels season two premiere has a number of characters from the original films. The show’s main characters are Kanan, Sabine, and Fenn Rau. As the season unfolds, we’ll get to know each of them in greater detail as we learn their origins and backgrounds. Let’s start with Kanan, who is a member of the Resistance. Sabine is a former Imperial Academy student. She joined the Rebellion as a young woman after she was disgraced for her past. The smugglers want to make sure she gets what she wants, which means they must fight the Protectors to the death.
Kanan has an idea that he will need help from Ahsoka to rescue Hera from Imperial captivity. In this episode, he recovers the kalikori and frees her before she reveals the location of the Rebel base. Later, he instructs Hera to land his gliders inside the fuel depot of Lothal City to get the location of the Rebel base. This episode’s villain is Darth Vader.
Violence
The second season of Star Wars Rebels features several new characters. These characters are mostly based on people from the original series, but also include a few that were not in the original series. The main characters are Ahsoka Tano, a former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker who assists the Rebels with pivotal assets. In addition to Ahsoka, other characters that have played pivotal roles include Grand Moff Tarkin, who oversees many of the Empire’s activities, and AP-5, who aids the Rebels in their search for a base. Other cast members include Keone Young, who plays Commander Jun Sato, a member of the Phoenix Squadron. Also appearing are Ian McDiarmid and his character, Emperor Palpatine, who are both former droids from the Clone Wars.
Darth Vader is the main antagonist in Rebels Season 2, but the Inquisitors are also likely to be a large part of the series. The show’s Grand Inquisitor, played by Rupert Friend, will be particularly violent, and Moses Ingram is rumored to play a Jedi hunter. The Inquisitors, a group of former Jedi, are notoriously cruel and violent, and will undoubtedly be a key element in the season’s storyline. Obi-Wan Kenobi will be forced to face the Inquisitors and their enforcers as he tries to protect the Jedi.
Melodrama
The second season of the animated Star Wars series continues with the return of a favorite character, Ezra. As his mission continues, Ezra must find a new way to evade the Empire. Meanwhile, the Rebels must find allies in the Mandalorians, who are siding with the Empire. The Rebels’ mission takes them to the planet of Broken Horn, where they encounter legendary pirate Hondo Ohnaka, and they must decide whether or not to make this mysterious figure their ally. In another episode, Sabine and Ezra attempt to rescue two of Zeb’s people from Imperial capture. Meanwhile, Kanan tries to convince the Mandalorians to form an alliance with them.
The series begins with Commander Sato’s escape from Geonosis, but the Empire has a new weapon in their arsenal. The Rebels are in danger, but they can’t let the new weapon win. They must work with Rex, Ezra, and Zeb to save him. The Seventh Sister is also trying to kidnap children, and a secret from the Empire may jeopardize the Rebel base on Garel.
