Where to Buy Star Wars Comics

There are several ways to purchase Star Wars comics. You can buy individual issues, trade paperbacks, or an entire story arc. If you’re planning to display your collection, trade paperbacks will save you money over time. But you’ll have to wait longer to get them. If you’re a comic fan who’d like to save some money, you’ll want to opt for individual issues.

MarvelEpic Collections

If you have never picked up a Star Wars comic before, now is the perfect time to do so. IDW and Marvel are releasing new Star Wars comics on a weekly basis. If you want to get the latest issues of the popular Star Wars series, I highly recommend checking out the new Epic Collections. These oversized, self-contained color collections bring the adventures of the Rebellion and Galactic Empire to the masses.

You can also purchase MarvelEpic Collections, which collects issues of the Star Wars franchise. These collections cover several years, and will include titles such as Star Wars: Legacy, Knight Errant, and Jedi vs. Sith. You can also find these collections in a library or online at your local bookstore. While you’re there, don’t forget to read the comics before you decide on a collection!

Marvel

After Disney purchased Lucasfilm in 2012, Marvel Comics revived its line of “Star Wars” comic books. The series focuses on characters from the film franchise, such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, R2-D2, C-3PO, and droid Snoke. Marvel Comics’ “Star Wars” line of comics is considered canon and continues the story of the movies and television series.

As a fan of the original Star Wars movies, you may want to check out the graphic novels Marvel published between 1991 and 2012. Most comic books are separated by eras, but there are no reading guidelines. The Star Wars graphic novels are marked as “miniseries” and feature in-universe dates of films. They are available digitally on Amazon, Kindle Comics, and Marvel Unlimited. If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’re likely to want to read as many of these comics as you can.

During the 1990s, Marvel Comics revived the series with issue 45, which featured original stories. The series featured a different creative team and featured a Return of the Jedi adaptation. In addition to the Return of the Jedi adaptation, the series also continued with original stories and Cynthia Martin’s art. Eventually, the company brought back the characters from the original movie, and released new issues with the classic Star Wars characters.

IDW

The official list of comic book publishers for Star Wars is a confusing one. The newest publisher seems to be Dark Horse, but it’s not exactly clear what kind of comics the company will produce. There are some hints, though, in press releases. For starters, the publisher will be focusing on classic, core Star Wars characters, as well as a few spin-offs and reboots.

Until now, Lucasfilm has published most of their Star Wars comics through Marvel, but in recent years, they’ve also been releasing stories for younger readers through IDW. This shift may signal the end of Star Wars comics from IDW, though the move will probably be temporary. The company’s final Star Wars comics will likely come out next year. IDW also publishes comics based on Marvel superheroes, so fans of those comics will have some choice in where to purchase them.
