There are a few ways to find Alexander, the first is to go to Redmane Castle in Caelid. Alexander will mention a few locations, such as the Gael Tunnel, Mt. Gelmir, and Siofra River. However, you must wait a while before you get to this part of the quest. Here are some other possible locations. Hopefully, this will help you to decide where to fight Alexander!

Gael Tunnel
Iron Fist Alexander is an iconic Living Jar NPC in Elden Ring. Located in Limgrave, near Saintsbridge, Alexander is trapped deep within the earth. You can also find him in the Gael Tunnel in Caelid, where he’ll talk about his plans to travel to Redmane Castle and participate in the Radahn Festival. This quest will be unlocked once you defeat the boss of the Radahn Festival, General Radahn.
You can find Alexander in the Gael Tunnel by visiting the Rear Caelid Entrance Site. You must go through the door on the north and west sides to find him. After defeating Alexander, you can continue on to the next area in Elden Ring, which is the Site of Grace. This fight is not particularly difficult. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can explore the area outside the tunnel.
Mt. Gelmir
If you have yet to meet Alexander, he can be found on the lava lake southwest of Mt. Gelmir. After you defeat the Magma Wyrm boss, proceed to the large rocks beside the lava lake to approach Alexander. Be careful, though, because the Magma Wyrm boss spawns in the western part of the lava lake. To avoid being attacked by this boss, approach Alexander from the south side of the lava lake. Upon defeating Alexander, you will receive the Jar helmet, which will give you a great boost to your throwing pot items. It will also give you the ability to imitate a living jar.
You can find Alexander in Liurnia of the Lakes, just south of the Carian Study Hall. After defeating him, you can move on to the next questline. To find Alexander, follow the path around Mt. Gelmir. Once you have defeated him, you can go north to strengthen your party. This is optional. If you already completed Blaidd’s questline, you can skip this step and head straight for Alexander.
Siofra River
In order to progress your questline and complete the game, you must kill Alexander. You can find Alexander near the Site of Grace, on the southern edge of the battlefield, or in the courtyard of Redmane Castle. Alexander is an NPC and can be talked to before engaging in a fight with him. Some players report that Alexander is the first NPC they encountered after the initial encounter with him. If you are unable to fight Alexander, then you can avoid the encounter by talking to the other NPCs.
Once you have fought Alexander and won the quest, you will be able to take down Alexander the Iron Fist. However, if you are not sure how to summon the new hero, you can consult a guide and learn about the necessary locations. Alexander the Iron Fist will appear on the map once you’ve defeated the starscourge Radahn. You can also fight Alexander in the game later if you have killed him before.
Redmane Castle
Alexander is the late-game Elden Ring boss. He’s not available for conversation in Mountaintops, but is a must-fight in the Crumbling Farum Azula Legacy Dungeon. The conversation between Alexander and players ends when he challenges players to a death duel. Unlike the ordinary Living Jar, Alexander has a higher chance of mixups. Defeating him once unlocks the questline for the next stage.
The location of Alexander is near Saintsbridge Site of Grace. You will need to wallop Alexander to release him. He’ll also tell you about a location where you can fight him. The location is in eastern Liurnia. You can also find him near the Dragon Temple Lift, in eastern Liurnia. Once you’re inside, you can use the Elden Ring Stonesword Key to open the path to the Dragon Temple Lift.
After you’ve cleared the enemies in Redmane Castle, you can summon Alexander and the other NPCs in the boss arena. You can fight the drake on your own, or you can summon Iron Fist Alexander, Blaidd, and Patches. Alexander will speak to you while collecting the remains of fallen warriors. The dialogue will prompt you to talk to him again.
