In the game, Plaustrite Shards are required to complete the Mechanicus minigame. These shards can be found in Mt Tianheng, Qingxu Pools, and Stonehide Lawachurls. In addition to Plaustrite Shards, players also need to gather Xiao Lanterns and Genshin Impact Shards to craft items.

Mt Tianheng
The first step in the quest for plaustrite shards is to get to Mt Tianheng, which is west of Liyue Harbor and southeast of Qingxu Pools. You can find tons of harvestable ores on Mt. Tianheng. To craft Xiao Lanterns, you will need Lantern Fibers and Wick Materials, which you can get by farming the plants that grow on the mountain. You can also get them by killing hilichurl-type enemies and Fatui elites.
The second way to get a Plaustrite shard is to fight the Geovishap Hatchling on Mt. Tianheng. This spawns nearby a cluster of Crystal nodes and a Plaustrite Shard. If you kill this monster, you’ll receive a Fragile Bone and two Plaustrite shards.
Qingxu Pools
You can find Plaustrite Shards in the Qingxu Pools by harvesting ores. To get more of them, visit Mt. Tianheng, west of Liyue Harbor. This place has abundant ores that can be harvested, including the coveted Plaustrite Shard. You can also find these shards by killing hilichurl-type enemies and Fatui elites.
Getting Plaustrite Shards is simple. You can either harvest ore in the area, or you can dispatch Geovishap, Hatchling, or Stonehide Lawachurl. As Plaustrite Shards are pervasive, you are likely to find them in your inventory. If you’ve found a few of them, make sure you read the rest of this article to learn more about their use.
Geovishap Hatchlings
Plaustrite Shard is a rare event material that can be obtained by mining crystals and other collectible minerals. The Geovishap hatchling is found exclusively on the southwest part of Liyue, but you can also find the creature in other areas, including the Crystal nodes and southwest of Mount Aozang. Defeating Geovishaps and Stonehide Lawachurls will also drop the Plaustrite Shard.
You can obtain Genshin Impact Plaustrite Shards by defeating Hilichurl elites and destroying certain enemies. These two materials can be obtained by leveling up the Adventurer rank. You can also find other materials in Geovishap if you know where to look. The Xiao Lantern is the most important crafting material in the game. If you can find a suitable plant, you can craft a Xiao Lantern.
You can also find this element in the Crystal Chunk mining area located on the southwest part of Liyue. This area is east of Liyue Harbor and directly west of the Luhua Pool. You can also find the crystal chunks in the mountains near Qinyun Peak and Dunyu Ruins. The geovishap hatchlings are best found near a crystal chunk mining location.
Stonehide Lawachurls
A Plaustrite Shard is a rare item that is used to craft Xiao Lanterns, which are required to win the Theater Mechanics minigame in the Genshin Impact event. The good news is that there are many ways to get Plaustrite Shards, including by farming them from enemies and purchasing them from vendors.
You can find this item in two locations: the south west part of Mt. Aozang, and the southwest of the continent. In the southwest part of the continent, you will find Crystal nodes and Geovishap Hatchlings. After killing one of these monsters, you will receive Plaustrite Shards. You can also use the shard to purchase Xiao Lanterns and other items that can be used as currency.
The first step is to collect Wick Material, which drops from enemies and Fatui Elites. To make this material, kill Hilichurls and Stonehide Lawachurls to get the Wick Material you need. They drop the material every time you defeat them, so make sure you get them as soon as possible! If you’re not able to get them from enemies, you can farm them from your journal instead!
