Sikhs
The Sikh community is renowned for its self-respect and humanitarian work. It has always stood for the highest levels of valor and honor. Its members often go above and beyond their responsibilities to help others. They remind the world that it’s possible to live in peace and with compassion. There is no religion more courageous and compassionate than the Sikhs. But how do they do it?
The Sikh community puts their faith and humanity above all else. The Sikhs have been helping others for centuries, and their courage is admirable. Many Sikhs have stepped up to help victims of natural disasters. In the recent Chennai floods, Sikh gurdwaras helped provide food and shelter for the homeless. And a Sikh has even saved a man from drowning after a heart attack.
Hinduism
Despite its ancient history, Hinduism is one of the most powerful communities in the world. In 2011, it had 966 million adherents, accounting for 79.8% of the Indian population. In comparison, the United States is the world’s strongest community, coming in at number one out of 73 countries. The United Kingdom, South Korea, and India are all ranked in the top ten, but Hinduism is among the bravest.
In contrast, Muslims and Hindus share a strong overlap in terms of religion. Both hold strong belief in the power of the evil eye and the karma that is rewarded or punished. Ninety-five percent of Hindus and 95% of Muslims feel proud to be Indian. Regardless of their religious beliefs, both groups value their nationality. Hindus are proud of their heritage, while Muslims are more likely to be patriotic.
Christianity
The fact that Christians are the bravest of all world religions is due in large part to their tolerance of criticism. Their response to nonbelievers has been characterized by mercy and forgiveness. This is not true of Islam, which has little tolerance for criticism and flies away from Islamic countries in search of safety and security. Similarly, Sikhism has been the victim of a thousand years of Muslim barbarism and bloodshed, but did not succumb to inquism and torture.
Islam
Historically, Muslims have shown the most courage in combat. Al-Qa’qa’ ibn Amr al-Tamimi, for example, a successful military commander, led his men to victory in the Battle of Yarmouk against the Byzantine Empire and the Battle of al-Qadisiyyah against the Sassanian Empire. Today, Muslims continue to prove their courage and tenacity, even during times of great peril.
