Femi Taylor
While starring in the original Star Wars trilogy as the slave dancer Oola, Femi Taylor was never a Jedi. The actress played the role in 1983 but reprised it for the 1997 Special Edition. In fact, the actress hasn’t changed her look in over fifteen years! Here’s why. – Femi Taylor’s character, Oola, is the only non-Jedi character in the original trilogy to use a Force-sensitive weapon besides a lightsaber.
Femi Taylor is born in a mud hut in Nigeria. Her mother died shortly after giving birth, so her father gave her to authorities. She now lives in Denmark with her husband, Claus Skytte Kamper. She has two sons, who also have the same name as her. She has appeared in TV and film in the past, including the critically acclaimed prequel “The Phantom Menace” and the upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Boba Fett
The character of Boba Fett is a beloved one in the original Star Wars films. During the Clone Wars, he hung out in Jabba’s palace on Tatooine. However, in the upcoming movie, The Mandalorian, Boba is discovered by Vanth, who gives it to Mandalorian Din Djarin. Din and Boba find each other and track Boba down on Tython, where they lay waste to tons of stormtroopers.
Although Boba Fett appears to be dead in Return of the Jedi, he continues to appear in various Star Wars media and in the “Clone Wars” cartoon. In Attack of the Clones (2002), Daniel Logan plays a pre-teen Fett, revealing that the character is a genetic clone of Jango Fett. The prequel films reveal that Boba is the son of Jango Fett and the adoptive son of his father, Jango.
Maul
Maul is a villain from the Star Wars franchise. He was originally a Jedi, but has since been transformed into a masked crime lord by Darth Sidious. His Shadow Collective includes the Hutt Clan, the Pyke Syndicate, and the Black Sun. In the original trilogy, he was a Jedi with a dark side, but by the time of the Clone Wars, he has become a feared crime lord with a growing reputation as a Jedi.
In the original Star Wars trilogy, Maul is the only non jedi to use a lightsaber. He was initially killed by Obi-Wan in the first film, but the character was later revived in Solo: A Star Wars Story. He has since appeared in other films, including The Phantom Menace. He is also thought to have died in Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Episode IX, but this has been debunked by later films.
Chirrut Îmwesh
Chirrut Imwesh is a blind Guardian who appears in Star Wars: Episode III: A New Hope along with his companion, Baze Malbus. Both of these characters are recruited to aid the Rebel Alliance during a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star from the Imperials. In the film, Chirrut and Baze are portrayed by Donnie Yen and Jiang Wen, respectively. Chirrut and Baze have been featured in other Star Wars media as well, such as the eponymous Rogue One novel released in 2017.
Pre Vizsla
Pre Vizsla was a Sith descendant who allied with Count Dooku to unite the exiled clans into the Death Watch. He opposed the ideals of peace and harmony espoused by Satine, but later turned against her and allied himself with Maul. The Death Watch was a rebel group that was founded in the second film of the original Star Wars trilogy.
A Mandalorian, Pre Vizsla led the Death Watch terrorist group during the Galactic Republic. He longed to bring back the warrior heritage of Mandalore, and secretly allied with Count Dooku. He subsequently led the Death Watch from his bases in the Concordian mining camps. He eventually made his way to Zanbar, where he joined forces with the Sith Lord Maul’s Shadow Collective.
Finn
Finn is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. He first appears in the 2015 film The Force Awakens where he flees from the First Order after his first combat mission. He later joins the Resistance. His character is played by John Boyega, who also reprised his role in The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. His performance earned him the BAFTA Rising Star Award and a nomination for a Saturn Award.
The storyline of the film is also very self-contained. The characters that were supposed to be part of the Jedi Order were absent in the original Star Wars trilogy, but the storylines still remained. The original plan for Episode IX called for Finn to be a bigger character, leading an ex-stormtrooper revolution and retaining his Jedi heritage. Fortunately, this plan was never executed.
