There’s a lot of fandom that claims ownership of the Star Wars universe. This fandom makes people think that anything not in their head canon is trash. But I’m not just talking about Star Wars. The same can be said for other fandoms as well, who are becoming more entitled and fabricating problems in order to maintain nostalgia. I’ll explain why the new Star Wars movies are so unlikable.

Jar Jar Binks is the least likable Star Wars character
While most people don’t consider Jarjar Binks to be one of the most likable Star Wars characters, his obnoxious attitude and smug, self-righteous nature make him an easy target for fans of the franchise. The droid was introduced in the first chronological Star Wars film, Episode One, but has been relegated to a background role in the prequels. As a result, he has suffered a lot of hate. Although he’s annoying, he is a good character nonetheless.
The least likable Star Wars character is Supreme Leader Snoke, who has received negative reviews from critics and fans alike. He’s not as likable as the Porgs or C-3PO, but his Wikipedia page has more visitors per day than C-3PO or Qui-Gon Jinn. In fact, Snoke is set to make an appearance in the sequel trilogy to The Last Jedi, and his popularity is growing as the franchise continues to gain popularity.
In a new poll of 2,200 adults, Morning Consult found that Jarjar Binks is only slightly more likable than Kylo Ren. While many people do not like Adam Driver’s portrayal of the villain Kylo Ren, many still consider him to be one of the most hated characters in the Star Wars universe. This is an important distinction, as the character has been universally hated for nearly two decades and was voiced by an actor who gave us an irritating voice.
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi has the lowest audience score on Rotten Tomatoes
The low score for Return of the Jedi may not mean that the film is bad. In fact, the opposite is true. Critics have been harsh on the movie, but it’s possible that fans are being biased. This may have impacted the audience score. The audience score is a proxy that reflects how many people actually like the movie. Fans of Star Wars may be flocking to Rotten Tomatoes to post their opinions about the film.
The film received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike, but the overall audience score was fairly low. It had the lowest audience score of any live action Star Wars movie, and it was ranked fifth worst overall by Rotten Tomatoes. This is comparable to Episode II: Attack of the Clones, which had the lowest audience score, and tied for the lowest critic score on the site. However, it’s hard to argue with the overwhelmingly negative reviews for Episode VIII.
The score for the last Star Wars movie was even lower than the highest. It was the second chapter of the prequel trilogy, after The Phantom Menace, and received a 65% audience score on the site. Another prequel to the prequel trilogy, Revenge of the Sith, had a 94% audience approval rating on the site. In contrast, Episode VI: Return of the Jedi is the lowest-rated film on Rotten Tomatoes, with a score of just 82 percent.
Darth Vader’s hands-on strangulation of Admiral Motti
Is Darth Vader’s hands-on, emotional strangulation of Admiral Motti the reason why people hate the new Star Wars? The answer to that question is both yes and no. In the new Star Wars, Vader strangles the Admiral Motti while interrogating him, and that scene is a prime example of why people hate the new Star Wars. Despite the reversal of roles, Vader is still a violent man who is emotionally volatile. In the original trilogy, Vader is a sad and cynical figure. He turns against the Emperor because he loves his son and his family. In the new movies, he is even more irrational, asking the Emperor whether his wife is safe.
This movie is based on the original Star Wars trilogy and follows the story of the Galactic Civil War. Admiral Motti was the Imperial Navy’s Chief of Staff and he was so confident of his Death Star’s capabilities that he dismissed the rebel alliance’s threat to the ship. However, this confidence led to clashes with his fellow officers and a confrontation with Darth Vader. During a Joint Chiefs meeting, Vader choked Motti. Though Motti protested his actions, he ended up getting choked.
The X-wing pilot’s hand-on strangulation of Admiral Matti is another reason why people hate the new Star Wars. He resembles a Boston barfly with a flat cap. As a result, he is the reason people hate the new Star Wars trilogy. It’s not just the way Darth Vader strangles his superior; he also looks awful.
