Why is The Witcher 3 so boring? There are several reasons. First of all, traversal is painful. You must ride a horse around mountains or climb up and over them to get to your goal. Then there are all the Nilfgaardians to deal with, which is tedious, too. Finally, the combat system feels unnecessarily difficult. Is there a better way to solve these problems?

Side quests

The Witcher 3 is a great RPG, and the side quests are no exception. In fact, they are so plentiful, the game won the 2016 award for best RPG. Some of the side quests are quite boring – you’ll spend time running around the wilderness, helping crippled daughters, and posing as mannequins. The game is not without its moments of intrigue, but many of them are just too generic.

Some players might find the side missions in The Witcher 3 boring, but I personally don’t mind. For example, “Of Dairy and Darkness” has an interesting side quest that requires you to navigate through the ruins of a burned mage. The reward is a relic sword called The Emmentaler. This quest isn’t particularly interesting, but it does give you a feeling of accomplishment when you’re rewarded with a relic sword.

Combat

There’s a lot of room for improvement when it comes to combat in The Witcher 3. While plenty of games have tried to make underwater combat more enjoyable, The Water World of The Witcher 3 is a dreary mess. In short, it boils down to spamming your crossbow until the enemy dies. On normal and Death March difficulty levels, this works just fine, but sometimes you’ll need more than one hit to take out an enemy. Also, the crossbow bolts don’t do much damage in some areas, which means you need to be a little careful when shooting them.

The Witcher 3 is bloated and has a massive open world that prioritizes beautiful vistas over fun exploration. The game sprinkling you with loot is also uninspired, as 99.9% of it is worthless. It’s also incredibly easy to get by in combat, which is an unfortunate downside. While there are plenty of options, they’re all overpowered and a waste of time. While it’s possible to level up in combat in The Witcher 3 and become an elite fighter, it doesn’t hold up over a hundred-hour journey.

Nilfgaardians

Nilfgaardians in The Witcher 3 aren’t particularly interesting. They look like a fantasy army of religious zealots in all-black armor, killing wherever they go. But is it really the fantasy army that Geralt encounters? Or is this the story of a revolt against a religious cult? Or is it just the game’s naivete?

In this chapter, we learn that Yennefer’s mother, Princess Cirilla, has a child with Emhyr. However, she didn’t know her father, the heir to the Nilfgaardian Empire, and had remained content with her new life. However, a mage convinced her to pursue revenge against the heir to the Nilfgaard Empire.

Characters

One of the biggest problems with The Witcher series is that the characters are so generic. They don’t do much beyond dumping a bunch of basic information when they open their mouths or stumble upon a dead baby. This is incredibly annoying, especially when the game has only been available for a few months. And it’s not just the characters who are bland; the story is also very dull. There are several other problems as well, but I’ll address them in this review.

Geralt’s mentor Vesemir is a great example of this. This character is important in the series because he is Geralt’s antithesis. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much to do for Vesemir this season. Bodnia’s performance as the bard was excellent in Killing Eve, but his characterization in The Witcher was not as compelling. In addition, Vesemir’s relationship with Geralt is lacking.

Graphics

The graphics in Witcher 3 aren’t as impressive as those in the previous game, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The open world map allows for more dynamic battles, but the overzealous movements of the main character make it difficult to engage in them. However, despite its low graphics, the game still has a lot of potential. You can have fun running around and battling monsters, but the graphics don’t live up to that potential.

The graphics are incredibly low-quality, and it’s difficult to appreciate the game’s depth and realism if they’re boring. However, if you’re looking for a visually stunning RPG, there are many reasons to buy it. Its gripping story and great voice acting make it one of the most enjoyable games ever released. And the graphics still hold up to modern games. You can get it for cheap on Steam, and you’ll find it’s still worth buying.
