Many have been wondering why there won’t be a season two of Twisted, after the wildly popular series received positive feedback from audiences and critics. The answer lies in the manic obsession of Allegra Edwards’ Ingrid Kannerman, who takes her toxic love for Nathan to new extremes. We’ll also take a look at the reasons ABC Family decided to cancel the series. It may be a good thing that Sharon Stone will join the cast and the death of Vikram, but that’s not enough to make the show a must-see.

Sharon Stone will join the cast
In addition to being a recurring character on twisted, Sharon Stone has also signed on to play a role on another show. The comedy-drama, THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT, has already begun filming season 2 in Los Angeles, Berlin, and Reykjavik. Stone will play Cassie’s estranged mother. Other actors joining the cast of twisted are Cheryl Hines, Jessie Ennis, Margaret Cho, Santiago Cabrera, and Calli Hernandez.
Her casting is not surprising given her background. The actress has been a part of many films including Casino, Basic Instinct, and Total Recall. In these films, Stone gained a reputation for being very physically fit and even became proficient in Tae Kwon Do. The Arnold dubbed her “The Female Terminator” because of the physical training she underwent for the role. Despite her many talents, her role on the show was not without controversy.
Allegra Edwards’ manic and obsessive Ingrid Kannerman takes her toxic love for Nathan to new heights

Ingrid’s love for Nathan reaches new heights as she attempts to find a way to save her ailing father from the horrors of a psychotic killer. However, she must first save herself from her own irrational behavior. Ingrid’s obsession with Nathan drives her to make drastic and rash decisions.

Vikram’s murder in season 2
Vikram’s murder is the second one to happen in season two of twisted. His murder is a result of a cover-up in which Jack, a business partner of Vikram, murdered him and then planted his body in the woods. Jack and Karen manipulated each other to get the deal done, but they were also paid to keep quiet. The killers used the fear of their victims to get away with murder.
When Danny was released from Juvie, he wanted to turn himself in as the killer of his aunt Tara. He figured out Danny’s plan and wanted to catch him in the act. Afterward, Danny told Jo that his father had murdered Tara while he was still alive. Vikram had Marilyn Rossi working for him, and she knew that. The murder of Vikram left Danny devastated.
ABC Family’s decision to cancel twisted
After receiving few nominations for the Teen Choice Awards, the twisted drama aired only one season. In its final episodes, Twisted drew 773,000 and 726,000 viewers, respectively. After the series’ cancellation, fans turned to social media to make a change. While the show’s finale prompted a flood of “Save Twisted” petitions, fans are still hoping that ABC Family will reconsider its decision to cancel the series.
While the series received strong ratings during its debut season, its cancellation was not a complete surprise, as it lacked the requisite chemistry to sustain its run on the network. The twisted cast included Nickelodeon alum Avan Jogia, who played Danny Desai, a high school student who was sentenced to juvie after killing his aunt. In the premiere episode, a young girl named Regina, played by Maddie Hasson, turns up dead, which forces Danny to face the truth. This episode was a major turning point for the series, as viewers could have seen the twisted side of Danny.
