Illidan’s escape from Lordaeron to Outland
The story of Illidan’s escape from Lordaeon to Outland in World of WarCraft Chronicles Volume 3 begins with Illidan vowing to take his entire army to fight the Scourge. However, within a few minutes, he was dead. Moreover, his army was stuck in Outland, a broken world that is the attention of the Burning Legion. Illidan’s escape from Lordaeron to Outland would mean that the Burning Legion, which had enslaved the people of Azeroth, could not attack Azaroth, which is the main goal of the World of Warcraft.
Gul’dan’s offer of power convinced Illidan to flee his prison, and he escaped through the Barrow Deeps. Meanwhile, Gul’dan corrupted the Dream Bough in Feralas, allowing Orcs to flood out. This war, known as the First War, would eventually be won by the Orcs, and the Horde was wiped out.

The tribe was forced from their homeland in the Stranglethorn Vale by the ogre mage Mai’Zoth, but managed to survive. The tribe subsequently migrated to the islands known as Darkspear. They found themselves at odds with the murlocs and were thrown into conflict.
The trolls of the Darkspear tribe were also found in Stromgarde, a place that humans had colonized in the beginning. They were one of the three major forces in the area, fighting alongside the Eitrigg and the Silvermoon elves. They were also crucial to the invasion of the Drustvar region, where they aided the Zandalari witch doctors in their work to invoke vood spirits.
