World of Warcraft Classes – Human Warriors

If you’re looking for a class in World of Warcraft that is not a dwarven warlock, the Human warrior may be exactly what you’re looking for. The human race comes with a wide variety of options for character build. The class tree features six races: Tauren, Draenei, Mechagnome, Human, and Rogue. Below, I’ll talk about each race and how their playstyles differ from the other races.

Table of Contents

Tauren

Unlike their druid cousins, the tauren are not the typical raging hordes that dominate the game’s world. Rather, they are quiet, docile, and loyal. When in a conflict, the tauren are fiercely loyal to the Alliance. Tauren are noble warriors who rarely turn their backs on their kin. The tauren, however, are not so easily swayed by the temptation to be greedy.

The culture of the tauren is based on the Native American tribes of the same name. Their religion and philosophy are heavily nature-based, and their preference for leather and wood reflect their nomadic lifestyle. The name tauren is derived from the word “tau”, which means “nature”. While the tauren did not have mounts in beta, they had a special ability called Plainsrunning. In addition, tauren were the only race to use proper sound effects during their emotes.

The Tauren are one of the most versatile races in the game, and their innate survivability is second to none. With the ability to stun many enemies, Taurens make great tanks. Warriors can also benefit from the powerful stat bonuses and racial feats of Trolls, such as Will of the Forsaken. In addition to their versatility and survivability, the Tauren are one of the best choices for PvP, especially when equipped with a high-damage weapon.

Draenei

The Draenei are human warriors with no connection to the Light. They can either be melee fighters or warriors with no connection to the Light. Male Draenei have broad shoulders and muscular bodies that match their Horde counterparts’ frames. While female Draenei have smaller bodies, they are more focused on martial skill. The Draenei are not strangers to war, and they look great in full plate armor.

While all races in World of Warcraft are strong, there are some advantages to using a Draenei warrior in PVE. The Draenei’s 1% extra group-wide hit rate is particularly useful for PVE. They also have self-healing, which is a huge plus. The biggest disadvantage to using a Human Mage is that the Draenei has fewer skills and attributes than Human Mages, including Felhunter’s Paranoia. In PVP, however, Human Mages are the worst choice. Intellect is better than 10% spirit. Lastly, Human Mages lack the abilities of Felhunter’s Paranoia and Escape Artist.

For leveling, the Draenei are better than Humans. While humans can level up to level 10 in a 1-10 zone, they can get up to level 14 with the Draenei version of Westfall. In World of Warcraft, a Draenei character will spend a bit more time farming rep than a Human. That’s not bad, considering that they spend 10% less time doing so than a Human character.

Mechagnome

In World of Warcraft, Mechagnome are tiny cyborg warriors, often better suited to long-lasting fights. Their ability to charge is especially useful in gaining buffs as a fight progresses, while their unique Emergency Failsafe ability allows them to rally the group when they’re running low on health. While there are a few notable drawbacks to using a Mechagnome, they have a wide variety of playable classes.

Mechagnomes once sought to completely mechanize themselves, but have since found a balance between the benefits of flesh and steel. Their ability to craft tools and open locked chests, as well as their Emergency Failsafe trait, allow them to heal quickly when their health level drops. They also move faster indoors, are less vulnerable to physical attacks, and can craft twice as fast as other races.

Mechagnome character builds are quite unique, with unique customization options and voice over lines. The Heritage Armor set is unique to Mechagnome warriors, and only becomes available after level 120 if you don’t use character boosts. There are some interesting perks, however, that a Mechagnome might find useful. One of these is the Mechagnome Dance Emote.
