World of Warcraft Death Knight Builds

A death knight build is a tank class that focuses on reducing the damage dealt by other players. There are six main skills you can learn as a death knight tank: slay the heart, rune strike, dancing rune weapon, vampire blood, and obliteration. Each of these skills increases your threat. Your main weapons are runes that add to your threat, and you can also use runes to heal yourself. You can also get meta-stones, which increase your armor by two percent and 240 stamina.

Obliteration

An Obliteration World of Warcraft death knight build focuses on dealing high damage in a wide range of scenarios. With this ability, you can deal 25% more damage from your main weapon and off-hand weapons. This means that you can finish a fight with free critical hits. Obliteration also has the benefit of being good in single target situations. This builds’ rotation is very strong, as it allows you to get many buffs in a short period of time.

During pre-patch, you should have a good amount of haste crit gear. Moreover, mastery is not that useful until you reach lvl 58, but it will serve as a secondary stat. While haste is important for this build, crit mastery is the best secondary stat. This is because your KM will proc 100% frost dmg, which is great for this build.

Unholy Assault

This build is a hybrid of Infected Claws + Bursting Sores and Unholy Assault. It gives you an additional four Festering Wounds to your main target, and it grants a 20% haste buff during the Death and Decay window. The build defaults to the Army of the Damned and is used mostly for MDI-style pulls where you want a burst AOE.

The Unholy has a significant advantage in multi-mob fights because of their higher percentage of spell damage. They also deal the most damage per second. This gives them a distinct advantage in the battle against high-armor targets. Unholy Assault Death Knights are also more accurate than tank characters. Its high damage output, low armor, and good movement speed make them a viable option for raid boss fights.

The unholy affliction abilities can help you survive longer in combat. Festering Strike, for example, will inflict the target with 4 Festering Wounds and give you 20% haste for six seconds. Festermight is another great talent for this class. It reduces the cooldown of Apocalypse and Army of the Dead by 5 sec. Marrowrend, on the other hand, deals physical damage and generates three Bone Shield. Morbidity is another great talent to get. Infectious Wound has a 20% chance to apply.

Apocalypse

This World of Warcraft Death Knight Apocase build is geared towards ensuring maximum damage for this class. This build is based around the Apocalypse talent, which deals 50% of your Attack power as Shadow damage. It also has a ten-second cooldown, so players should aim for 4 stacks of Festering Wound before using the skill. Then, take advantage of your Army of the Dead talent to summon a legion of minions. In addition, you can also use Icebound Fortitude to increase your damage mitigation, but it has a long cooldown, so it’s worth using only once or twice per day.

Apocalypse is a massive two-handed sword forged by vampire demons that spread plague, death, and destruction across the world. This weapon has a horrific reputation, resulting from its possession by the Tirisgarde mage, who was unable to control it. Later, the Dark Riders seized it, and the Death Knight joined the ranks of the Knights of Ebon Blade.

Frost Assault

If you’re looking for a frost Assault Death Knight build, you’ve come to the right place. This build focuses on doing damage during Pillar of Frost, and benefits from the tier set bonus Arctic Assault. It does well in single target and aoe scenarios. In addition, it’s strong in 2-target cleave situations and provides good burst damage on a one minute rotation.

The main focus of this Frost DPS build is Obliterate, a powerful AoE damage ability. Frost Strike and Howling Blast are the best options for DPS, especially in raids, but you can also use them on single targets if you wish to spread the diseases. Luckily, the Frost DPS tree has a few other advantages as well, including a great avoidance bonus. Frost Assault Death Knight builds are best for players who want to deal massive damage fast.

If you’re interested in playing as a soloist, you can choose the Unholy tree. This tree provides more immediate gains, and you can also choose to use the Wandering Plague talent if you prefer a soloist. Frost builds are more difficult to solo, but still, they have more potential. Frost builds can benefit from Runic Power Mastery, Black Ice, and the Frost Assault talent tree can provide a high level of damage.
