Is spell damage affected by global mods? If so, you’re not alone! You’ve probably seen all kinds of different “global” mods that increase damage and don’t affect the minions at all. But do they really affect the minions? Is there a way to determine if they’re affected? We’ll explore this question and more in this article. Also, check out the bonuses granted by passive skills for minions.

Passive skills grant minion bonuses
Pious Path is a passive skill that grants immunity to elemental ailments. To activate, you must be in consecrated ground for four seconds. This passive skill also increases attack speed and casting speed by 20%. Augury of Penitence is an offensive passive skill that increases nearby enemy elemental damage by 16 and reduces received damage by eight. Passive skills also increase a minion’s attack speed.
The passive skill tree can be built by using the same nodes as a character’s primary talent tree. However, if you’re using cluster jewels, you can drop nodes that affect minions. Generally, the best talents in the passive skill tree are placed in nodes that grant bonuses to minion health and damage. If you’re concerned about damage loss, you can drop life nodes.
Animate Weapon
Animate Weapon is an item that grants a reworked version of the Animate skill. It was previously a dreadful spell, causing players to lose a lot of mana. The new version of the spell applies damage multipliers that apply to minions and bosses. However, players need to take into account that damage multipliers apply only to melee attacks and do not apply to AoE damage.
A good way to level your Animate skill is to use it with a high-PDPS weapon and White Wind. In addition, you should equip Gravebind, which is a PDPS spell that increases your singleton damage. This skill also requires Survival Secrets to sustain it, which can be obtained from flask nodes on the tree. The minions that you use are used mostly for clearing and you need tools that will allow you to hit multiple targets at once. When leveling, you should consider getting a Mele Splash Support gem.
Dark Pact
The spell damage from Dark Pact depends on the minion’s maximum health, and Chain is better in both respects. However, it is not clear how Dark Pact spell damage affects minions. If you have a single minion, chaining Dark Pact will increase your damage by about 10%. In other words, Dark Pact isn’t a great choice if you have multiple minion types.
– Scold’s Bridle – This helmet is a good option if you want a DPS boost with the minimum amount of investment. It also offers some good DPS support, since the wand’s flame dash has a high mana cost, but also procs Arcane Surge Support, which gives a continuous boost to spell damage and Cast Speed. The Abyss Jewel should be socketed into the Stygian Vise belt to maximize the amount of damage it does.
Cloak of Tawm’r Isley
The legacy variant of the Cloak of Tawm’r Isley can be crafted using the Sculptor skill. It is a very powerful piece of gear that enhances your overall defensive capabilities. While it has a high base damage, it can be easily hampered by spell damage. Here’s how this legendary item affects your DPS:
Templar Adjudicator
Templar Adjudicator is a legendary mage class spell that deals damage to enemies and enchants minion weapons. The spell applies a debuff for a short duration and damages all enemies in its area. Non-unique enemies will be killed while under the effect of Absolution. Their corpses will then be consumed and replaced by a new Sentinel of Absolution minion. Unlike other minions, Templar Adjudicator will increase all the damage stats of your minion units at once.
Ghastly Eye
The Ghastly Eye spell increases the damage dealt to minions. This spell also increases the maximum life of minions by 42%. In addition, it increases the attack speed of minions by 21%. If you want to use Ghastly Eye on more minions, you should equip two Ghastly Eye Jewels to the Enthroned. Another great option is a Darkness Enthroned with two Hypnotic Eye Jewels.
