In this guide, I will go over the steps required to find Alexander and defeat the Tarnished in Crumbling Farum Azula. I will also cover how to take Alexander’s innards to Jar-Bairn in Jarburg. Finally, I will discuss where to find Alexander in Liurnia. While I will not go over each step in detail, I will give you a brief summary of the entire quest.

Defeating the Tarnished in Crumbling Farum Azula
Defeating the Tarnished in the Crumbling Farum Azula will reward you with a gold item. The location of the area is a high place in the sky. The atmosphere is frenetic, and you will have to keep an eye out for whirlwinds. However, once you have made your way to the area, you will be glad you did.
After defeating all of the Azula Beastmen, it is time to find the Somber Smithing Stone. This stone is located at the corner of the large floating ruin chunk. You can also find the Great Grave Glovewort by continuing forward. Once you have found this item, you can go to the next section of the ruins to collect Golden Arrows. There are several other items to collect along the way, so make sure you have all the items before you proceed.
Taking Alexander’s Innards to Jar-Bairn in Jarburg
To complete Taking Alexander’s Innards, head to the Crumbling Farum Azula and talk with Iron Fist, the NPC whose quest is distinct from this one. After the dialogue, you will receive the Alexander’s Innards and must give them to Jar-Bairn. You will then need to reload the area and leave your Companion Jar Talisman.
When speaking with Jar-Bairn, he will ask about your uncle Alexander, whom he is familiar with. Once you’ve given him the right information, he will tell you about Poachers, which are Jar’s enemies who try to hint you down. He will also inform you about Diallos, a new Potentate. Taking Alexander’s Innards to Jar-Bairn is also a good idea for questing, as it’ll be useful when completing the storyline.
Defeating Starscourge Radahn in Liurnia
Defeating Starscourge Radhahn is fairly easy. His initial pull does hardly any damage, so players will be much better off if they dodge it. They can also attack from behind, as his meteors will not hit them randomly. In his second phase, the Starscourge Radahn will start using gravity magic. Be sure to keep an eye on your health and apply status effects if you need to.
Defeating Starscourge Radaghn in Liurnia is a fun and optional boss fight. If you choose not to fight him, you may be locked out of some of the game’s endings, but it’s well worth it to get a head start on the next stage. While you’re here, be sure to explore Caelid. This massive area features fetid plague swamps, dragon lairs, and cursed towns.
Finding Alexander in Liurnia
You can find Alexander in Liurnia south of the Carian Study Hall. To free him, you must throw oil jars or hit him from behind. You can also talk to him until you’ve exhausted all possible dialogue options. After you’ve spoken to Alexander, you can head north to strengthen yourself and continue your journey. You can also visit Mt. Gelmir if you wish. This quest will reward you with Exalted Flesh.
The first part of finding Alexander in Liurnia is to find a way to free him. This can be done by climbing the wooden scaffolding around the aqueduct and following it to a hole in the wall. Once freed, Alexander will follow you to different areas of the map. If you do not want to do this, you can visit Jar Bairn, a local merchant of Jarburg.
Getting the Shard of Alexander
You can get the Shard of Alexander by defeating a dragon or lion, but how do you find it? Fortunately, there are a few ways you can find it. First, you must defeat a dragon in the Site of Grace. Then, you can head east. After you defeat the dragon, you will find the Shard of Alexander on a platform. You will need to collect the Stonesword key to open the fog wall, so you’ll need to use this to access the location.
Using the Shard of Alexander will increase your weapon attack power. You can also equip it with your Iron Fist, which will make your enemies harder to hit. Those are just some of the ways you can get the Shard of Alexander with the Elder Ring. The other way is to defeat Alexander, Warrior Jar, or Iron Fist in the Crumbling Farum Azula. If you’re unable to defeat Alexander, you’ll need to get the Shard of Alexander from one of these two quests.
