World of Warcraft Guidebook Author Sues Blizzard

Despite Blizzard’s initial refusal to settle with the author of a World of Warcraft guidebook, the developer has now settled with the author and has allowed the item to stay up for sale on eBay. The author’s lawsuit came after Blizzard demanded that eBay take the auction down with DMCA takedown notices. eBay did comply, but the author filed a counterclaim, and Blizzard issued another takedown notice quickly.

George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher’s in-game charter

Some “World Of Warcraft” fans want the frontman of Cannibal Corpse to be removed from the game after using homophobic slurs in a 2007 interview. Fisher referred to fictitious species as “skullfaunts” and “goblins” in a discussion of the game’s character lore.
