Heirlooms

When you have achieved a certain level, you can choose to equip one or more heirlooms. These items are leveling gear that binds to your character, but you can mail them to other characters if you wish. Heirlooms are very useful as your character levels, as each piece of heirloom gear gives you a certain percentage of experience. It is not uncommon to get a 10% or 5% experience bonus when wearing heirloom armor.

You can purchase Heirlooms of Hay Pressler with gold from guild vendors, although you must be a member of the appropriate guild in order to obtain them. If you have the required achievements, you can also earn Justice Points, which you can use to purchase these items. This is a good way to upgrade your level 80 heirlooms if you have the appropriate amount of gold.
