In order to find out what a certain item costs in World of Warcraft, you have to know its exact number. The first person to come up with this idea was Hyzenthlei, a shaman on the Zul’Jin server. He reasoned that Blizzard had allocated each item a certain number of points, and determined how these points related to the cost of the item. Ultimately, he proved his system in WoW forums. Blizzard later revealed how much each item costs in their actual budget.

Xorothian Firestick
The Xorothian Firestick is one of the most desirable weapons in World of Warcraft. It drops from a boss that only warlocks can summon in Dire Maul. Hunters could not obtain this item. The only way to obtain one is to perform the quest chain for the warlock mount. This quest chain requires a minimum of level 85, and the Xorothian Firestick is one of the rarest weapons in the game.
Chromatic Sword
A rare and desirable item from World of Warcraft, the Chromatic Sword has gone from being an item worth very little to being one of the highest-valued items. It has been rumored for a long time that this sword can be obtained from the rare-spawn monster, Scale Belly, which resides in Stranglethorn Vale. Though the rare-spawn monster is now uncommon, it still commands a high price tag. It is worth mentioning that the chance to obtain a Chromatic Sword is extremely low – between two and four percent.
In order to acquire the Chromatic Sword, you need to be level 100. This item drops from Chrommagus about 20% of the time, while Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood is dropped by Nefarians 9% of the time. While the aforementioned items are not incredibly useful for raiding, they are worth a try for melee DPS.
Fluorescent Green Mechanostrider
The Fluorescent Green Mechanostrider is one of the rarest mounts in the World of Warcraft game. It was first given to the player Narshe on the European realm of Frostmane. This mount was intended to be the horde’s equivalent of the Epic Brewfest Ram, which is found as a boss drop from Coren Direbrew. This mount was given a unique description in the Warlords of Draenor expansion.
It is very rare and only 1% of players in the game own this mount. Originally, Mechanostrider mounts were available for gnomes and dwarfs, but the newest patch, 3.0.8, extended them to all races. These mounts increase speed by up to 100%, making them perfect for PvP challenges and tournaments. As with most rare mounts, the Fluorescent Green Mechanostrider is best suited for players with high levels of riding.
