The official World of Warcraft magazine was created by Blizzard Entertainment and Future Publishing. However, it struggled to gain a following, and was perceived as expensive and lacking in quality. Only five issues were released in the first year, and it was often hard to find content to read. Its issues were also missed or rushed. As a result, Future Publishing decided to discontinue it. A notice was sent out to subscribers informing them of the change and what they can do.
