World of Warcraft Safe Haven

The cinematic for World of Warcraft: Safe Haven opens with Varok Saurfang in Nagrand, asking Thrall for help. They walk through a field, touching grain and then continue towards an orcish settlement. As they near the settlement, Oshu’gun appears in the distance and Thrall meets him in front of a building. As they discuss the future of Azeroth, the two become close friends.

Thrall’s life in Outworld

Thrall’s life in Outworld is far from normal. He’s been called Go’el by his orc friends twice already. It’s a sign of disrespect and disdain that he won’t stand for such behavior. Unlike other orcs who might be tempted to call Thrall Go’el, he sticks up for himself.

Chris Metzen, the writer who created the character Thrall, struggled with imposter syndrome and panic attacks. Those struggles played out almost simultaneously with Thrall’s storyline, and we can only assume that he was unconsciously channeling his personal problems into the creation of his character. Whether or not it’s intentional, Thrall’s life in Outworld is full of unexpected twists.

While the plotline of this new World of Warcraft cinematic is interesting, the storyline is less clear. Thrall’s life in Outworld and Nagrand isn’t stable. It’s also a bleak one: his life as a Horde leader has been ruined by a vengeful Saurfang, who is now openly opposed to Sylvanas. His refusal to lead the Horde has led to civil unrest and faction war. Thrall’s return will reignite the disillusionment that the Horde has experienced with Sylvanas and her war efforts.

Saurfang’s relationship with Thrall

In the World of Warcraft cinematic, “Safe Haven”, in which the mercenary Varok Saurfang recruits Thrall and his companions, we see both of these heroes try to save the honor of the Horde. This is a contrast to their actions under the Banshee Queen, when Thrall steadfastly insisted that the Horde would act honorably. In the cinematic, Thrall also mentions Warchief Sylvanas Windrunner, who is in the same position.

Thrall’s lack of leadership abilities in the past made him a poor choice for the role of leader, so it makes sense that Saurfang would be a prime candidate for the role of Warchief in Safe Haven. However, this doesn’t mean that Thrall will not change his mind and return to his original position of Warchief. Only time will tell.

Thrall’s return to Azeroth

The events of Thrall’s return to Azerath in World of Warcraft take place in the midst of a Civil War, and a Prophet named Medivh has been revealed as the one who warned of the coming invasion of the Burning Legion. After convincing Thrall and Jaina Proudmoore of this danger, they travel to the southwestern region of Outland and kill the evil King, Mannoroth.

After going AWOL during Legion, Thrall has been missing for a long time and has only recently been seen in the game. His return to Azeroth, however, has re-ignited the disillusionment of many Horde players with the ongoing war effort of Sylvanas. In the upcoming Rise of Azshara patch, Thrall will make his long-awaited return to Azeroth.

Saurfang’s plan to take over

After completing an inspection of the Valley of Spirits and the rear gates of Orgrimmar, Saurfang deviated from his normal route and started walking along the coastline. While very few merchants and naval ships made the trip to Orgrimmar, more were waiting in the shallows. The plan to take over World of Warcraft safe haven proved to be a successful one, but how will the Alliance and Horde respond?

While there are many possible scenarios, one thing is for sure: Saurfang will do whatever it takes to take over the safe haven. The plan is to use the opportunity to recruit Thrall. Thrall is a great hero for the Horde, and his character is very well developed. As the hero of the Horde, he has a long history of honor code, and he insists that the Horde should be honorable even when it comes to its enemies. After this plan is executed, he will be captured and will have to make a decision.
