World of Warcraft Timewalking Dungeons

In World of Warcraft, timewalking dungeons are a unique feature of the game that offers rewards beyond the standard loot table. Each event is tied to an expansion and features scaled-up dungeon drops. Timewarped Badges are a currency-based reward that can be traded for mounts. Timewalking events are limited to 18 dungeons across all expansions.

Mists of Pandaria timewalking dungeons

The upcoming Timewalking Dungeon Event in World of Warcraft will take gamers back in time to enjoy the classic dungeons of the past. This bonus World Event will allow players of level 50 or higher to queue up for timewalking versions of Mists of Pandaria instances. These dungeons will award players with a Timewarped Badge, which can be exchanged for items in the capital cities. Timewarped Badges can also be spent on a special Timewalking Vendor. You can also gain the Sign of the Mists buff, which gives you 50% bonus reputation with factions in the Mists of Pandaria expansion.

The Timewalking event is available to players of level 91 or higher. Players who are able to complete the first Timewalking dungeon will receive a Shrouded Timewarped Coin. In addition to this, they will also receive 500 Timewarped Badges. The Commendation of Emperor Shaohao costs 50 Badges and 500 reputation. It is account bound, so be sure to get an account-bound Commendation.

The Gate of the Setting Sun is located between the Dread Wastes of Pandaria and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. It is the last stronghold for the Mogu and it is a key part of the raid. This dungeon consists of four encounters with the Mantid army, who slowly approach the gate. The player must defeat them before the Mantid army can reach the gate.

Gear scaled down to dungeon’s level

Timewalking dungeons scale your gear score back to the corresponding tier of the dungeon. This means that you will have a full set of 280 level gear on your account. The same thing goes for raids that have a legacy level setting, such as 10 or 25 players. Likewise, gear for timewalking dungeons will be tuned for 5 players.

To take advantage of Timewalking, you must be level 71 or above. For content in the Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King expansions, your character needs to be level 81 or higher. Blizzard has not yet confirmed a complete list of eligible dungeons. You can earn Timewarped Badges by completing quest items and completing timewalking dungeons.

In the Timewalking version of Mage Tower, all standard gear above ilvl 50 is automatically scaled down. You may still be able to get gear that is over item level 50, but it will be scaled down to its level. For example, if you get a piece of gear from an old expansion, it might have more gem slots than current Shadowlands Gear. In this case, it is best to buy the older piece of gear if you don’t want to waste gems on a single item.

Rewards for completing Mage Tower challenges

Having completed timewalking dungeons for WoW in the past, I can attest to how difficult these challenges can be. The Mage Tower rewards are quite varied, so I’ll break them down per class and specialization. Each challenge requires a different type of gear, special abilities, or effects. This is the main difference between timewalking and normal dungeons.

There are seven challenges in Timewalking Mage Tower. The first three are quest-based, and the fourth is an achievement. The last two are account-wide and require you to be level 90 or higher. The rewards for the Mage Tower depend on the specialization you’re playing, so it’s worth noting which one you’re focusing on. For instance, if you’re a mage, you can earn a Tier 20 Set Mage Tower recolor, which is an important achievement for any timewalker.

Legion Timewalking rewards include new items, mounts, transmog options, and toy items. The new rewards are earned by beating Legion bosses during the event and completing the Mage Tower challenges. The timewalking event begins on December 7 and runs until January 4, 2017. After that, it will occur 18 weeks apart, for one week each. So, if you’re thinking of doing a mythic+ carry run, this is the right time to do it.
