Fathom Dweller
A dedicated group of Wowhead users uncovered the secret behind one of the most elusive World of Warcraft water mounts: the Fathom Dweller! This jellyfish mount can only be summoned in aquatic environments. To obtain this mount, you must first find and kill the final world quest Kosumoth the Hungering. The reward is a Fathom Dweller mount for two weeks! Note that if you die while carrying the mount, you will instead receive a pet.
This mount has an extremely high drop rate. It requires the hunter to be very experienced to ride it. However, it is an awesome way to explore the Broken Isles and complete quests while underwater. While most water mounts can be used for land travel, the Fathom Dweller is unique in its own way. Players can only use this mount when they complete a quest requiring breathing.
The Fathom Dweller is the ultimate way to cruise through the Great Sea. Its design and color are reminiscent of jellyfish, but it’s made of a different type of animal. The Fathom Dweller isn’t fishable, and you can’t fish it to obtain it. You can obtain the Fathom Dweller by clicking on things around Broken Shore. These will spawn Kosumoth the Hungering, which will drop a Fathom Dweller.
Azure Water Strider
If you’re planning on leveling your alts in the new expansion, the reins of the Azure Water Strider mount are your best bet. It’s account-bound, and you can walk on water in non-battleground areas. Besides being a great mount for questing, this mount is also very handy when you can’t fly anywhere in the new BFA locations.
The most effective way to get the mount is to do Timewalking dungeons. Timewalking is available during the Mists of Pandaria expansion, so if you have enough badges from the dungeon, you can convert them into commendations. While this quest will require a lot of grinding, once you have it, you’ll be able to move through the world much easier and faster.
To get the mount, you need to get a reputation with the Anglers in Krasarang Wilds, or with Nat Pagle. You can also get this mount by catching rare fish in Draenor. You can get either of these mounts at level 100 by completing tasks and doing quests. If you’re in the mood for a new mount, check out Twinfinite’s tips for World of Warcraft.
Grand Black War Mammoth
In the original World of Warcraft, giants rode on the backs of Grand Black Mammoths. The creatures’ massive size allows them to carry heavy armor. Now, you can ride more than one of these giant beasts. If you are a mage, you should consider a Grand Black War Mammoth mount instead of the more expensive Tundra Mammoth.
Grand Black Mammoth is a rare mount in World of Warcraft. You can find it in the Southern Barrens of Azeroth. It is a powerful mount that can carry more than one rider. Once you have acquired it, you should head to Icecrown Citadel to get the legendary mount. This mount summons two NPCs: a food vendor and a vendor/repair guy. This mount can be obtained from Uncle Bigpicket for 120’000 gold.
You can obtain this mount by doing certain achievements. Then, the mount will be mailed to you. In previous sections, you can acquire mounts only through in-game means, but later sections require real-world interactions such as rare loot cards from the Trading Card Game or attending BlizzCon events. Another option is to purchase a mount from Blizzard Store, which functions similarly to a Pet Store pet.
