Why Is Clash Banned R6 Again?

In the past week, players have reported a bug that causes Clash to fire his primary weapon without his shield dropping, letting him shoot his attackers while his shield extends. This isn’t the first time that a broken operator has plagued the game. Ubisoft seems to have learned its lesson, but it’s unclear why they banned Clash R6 again. It seems that the game’s launch was smooth, but it’s worth looking at all the factors in the update.

Clash’s deployable, transparent shield

The detachable, transparent shield was banned in early May after being discovered to give players a massive advantage in multiplayer games. The shields, which can be placed on the head and upper body, were deemed extremely powerful by some players, and Ubisoft is currently testing concrete fixes to the flaws. A new design will go live once the fix has been confirmed.

Players could place a shield in a doorway and still have an opportunity to stop attackers from reaching the entrance to a building. The shield was previously difficult to place, requiring players to fiddle with it. They could purposely leave gaps between the shield and the door frame, but now it is locked in place when released. Using a deployable shield in doorways will now prevent attackers from clipping through the wall when they are rappelling or vaulting near the shield.

Her weapon swap animation

Ubisoft has been catching a lot of flack for banning Rainbow Six Siege operator Clash three times in the past 10 months. The reason for this ban was confirmed by Ubisoft. After the first ban, Clash was reinstated after the public outcry over her weapon swap animation. Ubisoft said the second ban was caused by players manipulating the game and making her unable to fire on other players.

Her bulletproof device

One of the most frustrating aspects of Rainbow Six Siege is Clash, the operator. The first player to be introduced in Operation Grim Sky, Clash possesses a riot shield that protects her from enemy fire and an attached taser that can damage and slow enemy players. As such, Clash can be a frustrating foe to face, and has featured in many lists of the worst defenders in the game. Sadly, the nerfs that were made to slow her down have been removed. Now, Clash might be gone by the time you reach Year 5 of Rainbow Six Siege.

Melusi’s bulletproof device can slow an attacker in two-meter radius and slows enemies. She can place three of these devices in a single round. If you have Melusi, she can place three devices in each round, proving the power of shield operators in Clash. The game’s censorship policy also helps new players get a feel for how the bulletproof device works.

Hyena’s ban

Kian “Hyena” Mozayani, a former player for Luminosity Gaming, has been banned from the game for a year. The ban was announced on his Twitter account after he posted a criticizing post about Ubisoft. The ban may be related to an angry Twitlonger post where Hyena criticised Ubisoft and the lack of communication between them.

The game has been plagued by hyena-related problems in the past. In one instance, a hyena used to attack a leopard, which was considered a threat to the animal. While the ban itself was an isolated case, Hyena is still one of the most influential players in the game. He is currently ranked third in the LATAM Pro League, which is a good indication of the game’s popularity.

Operation Phantom Sight’s ban

The latest patch, Operation Phantom Sight, introduced two new operators to the Rainbow Six: Siege game. These are Nokk and Warden. Nokk has new stealth abilities that make her invisible to observation tools. Likewise, Warden has a new ability to shoot players, and her new gadget allows her to go up an open hatch. While these improvements are not perfect, they are an improvement over her predecessors.

Previously, Clash was disabled in the game because of an exploit involving the shield. It was only recently brought back to the game. Previously, the game had been banned for weeks. However, Ubisoft has a good reason for removing the ban on R6 clash. While the ban may have been justified, it is unfortunate that the game has now been removed from the game altogether.
